Marybeth Hammonds

Administrative Secretary

As Administrative Secretary, Marybeth Hammonds plays a vital role in maintaining the daily rhythm of communication and coordination across our ministry. From managing emails and scheduling to banquet planning and communicating with ministry partners, Marybeth brings both organization and heart to everything she does.

Before joining our team, Marybeth spent nine years serving in the children’s ministry at North Monroe Baptist Church and one year as a co-teacher at The Early Childhood Education Center in Ruston, Louisiana. These experiences shaped her passion for working with children and sharing the gospel—both of which continue to guide her in her work at Hope for the Hungry and the pursuit of a degree in elementary education.

Marybeth has a deep love for ministry and a strong desire to serve others. Alongside her husband, Corban, she is actively involved in student ministry at First Baptist Church Holland.

Mary Ann Dodson

Mary Ann Dodson has been the financial secretary for Hope for the Hungry for the past ten years. Mary Ann holds an associate degree in Business from Temple College, and brings years of extensive experience in accounting. Mary Ann’s passion has always been to work with small and medium-sized churches. She helps these organizations find financial responsibility amidst growth. Mary Ann has also been very dedicated to working with children in the church community, as well as in apartment ministry in the Temple area.

Lisa Schwindt

Lisa worked for Hope for the Hungry periodically for several years before joining our team in a more permanent role in 2021. She handles all donor-related information and also serves as a backup to Mary Ann when needed.

Lisa has an extensive background as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. She currently works from home for eight churches in the area as a financial secretary as well. Her gift of organization has been an asset to Hope, as well as her willingness to help with whatever is needed.

Lisa and her husband, Scott, have been married for nearly thirty-nine years and have two children, both married, who live and work nearby. They also have four grand-dogs. Whenever possible, she enjoys family game nights, singing karaoke, cruising with Scott and friends, hiking in Colorado, and listening to live music around town. Lisa and her dog, Polly, also participate in dog agility competitions as much as possible.
